Giving – why give?

At Liberty church we believe in a Biblical understanding and use of the believer’s finances. We believe that a healthy perspective is that God owns all things but entrusts resources of money, time and talents to us which He expects and invites us to STEWARD faithfully and generously. A primary area of our stewardship is into the local church where we belong. If you come along to Liberty we offer information and teaching opportunities on various themes for living including Biblical stewardship of finances and believe that knowing how to steward finances and grow in generosity is crucial.

Another reason to GIVE is because the ministry of the local church will not flourish without faithful stewardship and generosity. We can pray for things to happen but if we are not prepared to give toward that then something is wrong with our perspective. It takes finances to maintain and expand the Kingdom advancing work of church. There is also a Biblical command to care for (includes renumeration) Pastors/teachers in the church and also to care for the needy and marginalised among us and around us.
